Heb-sed – The heb-sed was a festival in which the king took a ceremonial run around a race course. Running, and winning, the heb-sed race reaffirmed the pharaoh’s power to regulate the flood waters of the Nile, and to protect Egypt.

Imhotep – Imhotep engineered Djoser’s Pyramid. He was honored as a great priest and wise man. He provided his workers with an early form of health care and after his death was deified as the god of medicine.
