Write the following verbatim: Naram-Sin the Great – Naram-Sin the Great was the grandson of Sargon. Naram-Sin spread the Akkadian empire to its greatest extent, but also faced the invasion of Gutian barbarians. Barbarian – A barbarian is someone from outside of a kingdom bent on destroying that kingdom. Etymology: from Greek barbaros "foreign, strange; ignorant," from P.I.E. root barbar, echoic of unintelligible speech of foreigners.
