HW—Exercise 12A--copy the following verbatim:
Terah – Terah was the father of Abram, and traced his ancestry back to the Semites. Terah took his family out of Ur during the Gutian invasions.
YHWH – YHWH (Yahweh) is the name of God. Abram heard the voice of YHWH, which told him that Abram will be made into a great nation and will be blessed, but that Abram must leave his country and his people and go to Canaan.
Jericho – The town of Jericho is twelve thousand years old, one of the oldest cities in the world. There was a huge stone wall around the city, with a circular tower at the corner that rose thirty-five feet high so that guards could keep a constant eye on the surrounding land.
The last two items of Exercise 12A will be given to you as your Do Now on Monday.
