Do Now–Complete Exercise 12A: Hagar – Sarai gave Abram her servant, Hagar, as a second and unofficial wife in order to make an heir. Hagar gave birth to Ishmael, considered the father of the Arab people. Ishmael – Ishmael was the son of Abram and Hagar. Arab Muslims consider him their ancestor and, with his father, the first to worship Allah, the one God, rather than the stars, the moon, or the sun.

HW: Spend twenty minutes reviewing p. 135, ¶ 2 – 3 and the reading passages in Field Notes 12.
