Do Now—Exodus 3:1-15 and Psalm 82 : Annotate Psalm 82 (see below) and review Exodus 3:1-15 (on the back of Field Notes No. 20) Write a DQ addressing both Psalm 82 and Exodus 3:1-15 (Moses and the Burning Bush—last night’s HW). Write one thoughtful question that links the two texts together in some way. In the alternative, or in addition, you may write a DQ that links those two texts plus The storm god Teshub and the dragon Illuyankas.
HW: Show gratitude to your parents by doing what you are supposed to do every day without them having to ask/beg you to do it. This includes: * Making your bed * Brushing your teeth * Cleaning your room * Picking up after yourself * Unpacking and cleaning your lunchbox and water bottle as soon as you get home * Etc!
Psalm 82:
1 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2 “How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding,
they walk around in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I say, “You are gods,
children of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, you shall die like mortals,
and fall like any prince.”
8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth;
for all the nations belong to you!
