Do Now & HW—Exercise 25C--Copy the following verbatim:

Ariadne – Ariadne, daughter of Minos, helped Theseus defeat the Minotaur by giving him a ball of string. The ball of string helped Theseus to find and kill the Minotaur, and to find his way out of the Labyrinth.

Theseus – Theseus, son of Athenian king Aegeus, beat the Labyrinth and killed the Minotaur. Theseus was able to escape Minos by sabotaging the Cretan navy.

Aegeus – Aegeus, king of Athens, was helpless against Minos and sent Athenian boys and girls to be sacrificed to the Minotaur. The sea around the Greek islands into which he leapt to his death because he thought his son Theseus was killed by the Minotaur is named after him: the Aegean Sea.
